Hanoi, 16th January 2010, Zamil Steel Buildings Vietnam has been selected as the one of 47 most prominent enterprises to receive the CSR Awards 2009. Awarding Ceremony was held on January 16, 2010 at Melia Hotel, Hanoi.
The award is to recognize and honor enterprises in Vietnam for their best Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) performance in 2009 in the two categories of environment and labor, and raise the awareness of the significance and benefit of CSR towards sustainable development of enterprises, community and society. Organizing by VCCI, the Award scheme includes The Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affair, the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, and the Ministry of Planning and Investment.
Operating in Vietnam for more than 10 years, Zamil Steel Buildings Vietnam has been continuing to improve its corporate social responsibility which is in line with its long-term strategy to the development of the economy and the community. From a representative office in Vietnam in 1993, now Zamil Steel Buildings Vietnam has expanded with more than 1,200 employees and 2 factories in Hanoi and Dong Nai. Together with its success in improving technology and product quality, various policies on improving labor conditions, standards and safety at workplace, health care programs have been implemented.
