HCMC, June 2010 – Leading steel products manufacturer – Pomina JSC., an affliation company of Thep Viet Corp. Group, has appointed Zamil Steel Buildings Vietnam to be the single steel buildings supplier for their largest forged steel mill in Vietnam with an expected annual output of one million tons in the southern province of Ba Ria-Vung Tau.
Covering an area of nearly 30,000m2, this highly complex mill will require around 6,500MT of steel for fabrication, and to be designed and built as per Zamil Steel standards.
“We are proud to be selected again by Pomina JSC to supply steel buildings for this important project, after their first Thep Viet project in Phu My IP. This project will set another milestone for ZSV that again proves our superior engineering expertises and manufacturing capacity as a total steel building solution provider. This project will feature station cranes as heavy as 230MT, which is an engineering feat unparelled to other steel fabricators in the region. The structural design shall be evaluated by Parsons Brinckerhoff, one of the biggest engineering Groups in the USA” stated Zamil Steel Buildings Vietnam’s Regional Sales Manager.
Promina’s forged steel mill is schedule to be commissioned on May 2011. With its new forged steel mill, Pomina Steel JSC will increase its total forged steel capacity to 1.5 million tonne/year, becoming the biggest forged steel enterprise in the country.
Beside this project, Zamil Steel has also provided steel buildings solutions for many other steel mill projects including both two projects of Hoa Sen Factory, Phu My Flat Steel factory, CSGT project, Dinh Vu Steel Plant, etc.
