Each category contained: one first prize, two second prizes, three third prizes and 14-15 consolidation prizes.
The CSR Awards recognized the contributions made by businesses operating in Vietnam to the improvement of working conditions, protection of workers’ rights, and the implementation of cutting edge and environmentally friendly technologies into their production activities. The awards also demonstrate business awareness of the importance of setting and reaching sustainable social development goals. Winners of the 2012 CSR Awards were honored for their implementation of CSR in the environment and labor categories for the period 2010 – 2012.
The Awards are conducted by the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) in collaboration with government ministries and the project “Helping Vietnamese SMEs adapt and adopt Corporate Social Responsibility for improved linkages with global supply chains in sustainable production,” which is funded by the European Union and administered by the UN Industrial Development Organization. This ceremony marked the fifth presentation of the CSR Awards, which are conferred upon the winners every three years.
