For multi-story buildings design, sometimes the lowest weight might not be the best; and designers have to pay attention to more complex considerations to ensure the robustness and resilience of the structures against unforeseen circumstances: for example, accidental loading or temporary load conditions, future change of use, fire protection, etc.
